Fighting for the Vote
This touring exhibition celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Washington’s women’s suffrage movement. The story – about one of the first organized civil rights campaigns in the country – is dramatic: from getting the right to vote by legislation, to having it revoked by a conservative justice, and the hard-fought, street-smart grassroots campaign to win it back.
The exhibition traveled to cities across Washington throughout 2009 and 2010.
